NEW ALBANY, OH — A tragic shooting at a KDC/One facility in New Albany, Ohio has left one person dead and five others injured, according to local law enforcement. Authorities believe they have identified a suspect, though no arrest has been made.
New Albany Police responded to reports of an active shooter late Tuesday night, evacuating approximately 100 employees from the facility.
“Police are finishing evacuating employees from the building,” the department announced in an update around 1:30 a.m., adding that the suspect was no longer believed to be in the area.

At a press conference outside the facility, Police Chief Greg Jones confirmed that six people were transported to local hospitals, with one victim succumbing to their injuries.
Authorities have not yet made an arrest, but police stated they believe they know the identity of the suspect.
A firearm was recovered at the scene, according to Jones, as investigators continue their efforts to piece together what led to the deadly workplace shooting.
