MAITLAND, FL — Marcus Jordan, the 34-year-old son of basketball icon Michael Jordan, was arrested early Tuesday on drug possession, DUI, and resisting arrest charges after allegedly getting his Lamborghini SUV stuck on train tracks in Florida.
According to an arrest affidavit, a Maitland police officer spotted the blue Lamborghini SUV stopped on the railroad tracks shortly before 2 a.m. The officer immediately alerted SunRail, the region’s commuter rail system, and approached the vehicle.
Upon making contact with Marcus Jordan, police noted the odor of alcohol, slurred speech, and red, bloodshot eyes, according to the affidavit.
Marcus Jordan Allegedly Fled a Prior Traffic Stop
Authorities later discovered that the vehicle had allegedly fled from a traffic stop conducted by the Seminole County Sheriff’s Office shortly before getting stuck on the tracks.
Body camera footage released by the Maitland Police Department shows Marcus Jordan explaining to officers that he got lost and mistakenly turned onto the tracks.
“I’m Marcus Jordan, I’m Michael Jordan’s son,” he can be heard saying in the footage.
He repeatedly told officers that he was simply trying to get home, calling the situation an unfortunate mistake.
“The last thing I wanted to do is put my car on the tracks, obviously—it’s a $330,000 car,” he told police.
When questioned about alcohol consumption, Marcus Jordan admitted to drinking “a little bit” but insisted it was “under the legal limit.”

Cocaine Discovered During Arrest
Police conducted field sobriety exercises before arresting Marcus Jordan for driving under the influence.
According to the affidavit, a small plastic baggie containing a white powdery substance was found in his front right pants pocket. The substance later tested positive for cocaine.
After being taken into custody, Marcus Jordan allegedly refused to cooperate when officers attempted to place him inside a patrol vehicle.
“When we were putting him in the car, he started to kick,” one officer stated in the footage.
Jordan also refused to provide a breath sample at the Orange County DUI Center, according to police.
