Singer Pink delivered a New Year’s message to fans from the hospital this week, sharing an update on Instagram on Wednesday.
In the post, the three-time Grammy winner included a photo of herself smiling in a hospital gown from a hospital bed and said she recently had a procedure to replace two discs in her neck.
“Two new shiny discs” and a fresh reminder
Pink described the end of the year as a time to focus on her health and take care of her body.
“I end the year giving reverence to, paying attention to, and fixing my body. It may not be a fancy facelift, but I am getting two new shiny discs in my neck,” she wrote in part of the caption.
She added that the experience left her with “A new scar, a new reminder, that I appreciate this vessel that I have and use it for all it’s worth,” before concluding, “Rock ‘n’ roll is a contact sport.”
Finding “beauty” in an imperfect 2025
Even as she marked the holiday in the hospital, Pink centered her message on gratitude and resilience, reflecting on the highs and lows of the past year.
“I want to say Happy New Year’s to everyone. I am so happy to say goodbye to the snake year and welcome in the horse. I am leaving behind all of my hurt in 2025,” she wrote.
Calling the year “a doozy,” Pink said it ranged “from absolutely devastating to mildly annoying,” while emphasizing that “there was so much beauty” in the midst of it.
She said those bright spots included time with her family and her children, daughter Willow Sage and son Jameson Moon.
Looking ahead to 2026 and “choosing joy.”
Pink said she plans to “choose joy” in 2026 and ended her message with encouragement and support for others.
“I know that 2026 is going to be better because that is the choice that I have made. I hope and pray that every person can make that wish, have that choice. I know that isn’t a reality for some,” she wrote.
She added, “I will work this year to help preserve the choices of others to make for themselves and their families, and this very pursuit of happiness. Let’s do better for ourselves and for others.”
