The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) launched a multimillion-dollar advertising campaign on Tuesday, aiming to deter illegal immigration with a strong and direct message: Don’t try it.
The campaign consists of two versions of the ad—one designed for a domestic audience and another for international viewers.
Domestic Ad: Noem Praises Trump’s Border Security Efforts
The domestic version of the ad features DHS Secretary Kristi Noem, who expresses support for President Donald Trump and his commitment to securing the border.
“Thank you, President Donald J. Trump, for securing our border and putting America first,” Noem says in the ad airing in the U.S.
She goes on to reinforce Trump’s stance on illegal immigration, stating:
“President Trump has a clear message: If you are here illegally, we will find you and deport you. You will never return. But if you leave now, you may have an opportunity to return and enjoy our freedom and live the American Dream.”
She delivers an explicit warning to criminal aliens, emphasizing:
“If you are a criminal alien considering entering America illegally: Don’t even think about it. If you come here and break our laws, we will hunt you down. Criminals are not welcome in the United States.”

International Ad: A Direct Warning to Potential Migrants
The international version of the ad is specifically targeted at deterring illegal migration before it begins. In the ad, Noem delivers a stark warning:
“Let me deliver a message from President Trump to the world: If you are thinking of entering America illegally, don’t even think about it.”
The ad warns that those who attempt to cross illegally will be caught and removed.
A Strong Message on Border Security
The campaign underscores the administration’s firm stance on illegal immigration, sending a clear deterrent message both domestically and abroad.
As immigration remains a high-profile issue, this campaign is expected to spark strong reactions from both supporters and critics of current U.S. border security policies.
