Gerber is recalling limited batches of its Gerber® Arrowroot Biscuits after the company said the products may contain pieces of soft plastic and/or paper that “should not be consumed.” The recall applies to Gerber Arrowroot Biscuits in 5.5-ounce packages and is being conducted nationwide in the United States.
Gerber said the issue traces back to an arrowroot flour supplier that initiated a recall. The company said no other Gerber products are affected.

Which dates and batch codes are affected
The recalled biscuits include packages with best-before dates between Oct. 16 and Dec. 16, 2026. Gerber and the FDA say consumers should check the 10-digit batch code printed on the back of the package, near the best-before date.
Gerber published a list of affected batch codes tied to those dates and provided reference images to help consumers locate the code on the packaging.
What parents and caregivers should do
Gerber said consumers who have the impacted product should not feed it to their child. The company said the biscuits can be returned to the retailer where they were purchased for a refund.
Gerber also said no illnesses or injuries have been reported in connection with the recall.
Why the recall was issued
Gerber described the action as a voluntary recall “out of an abundance of caution” after the supplier recall. The company said it is working with the FDA and will cooperate during the agency’s review.
