Social media influencer Tucker Genal has passed away, his family confirmed in a joint Instagram post shared by his brothers, Carson and Connor Genal, on Monday. He was 31.
The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner determined that Tucker Genal died by suicide on Dec. 11, 2025. His brothers, who are also creators, said the news was “impossible to process” and asked for privacy as they began to navigate life without him.
“I don’t even know where to begin,” Carson wrote in the caption of the tribute, alongside several photos of the brothers together and with fellow creator Korie McKendy. “You were my best friend and an even better big brother. My entire life, I’ve spent looking up to you and trying to follow in your footsteps because you were always my hero.”
He added that he would “continue to spend the rest of my life looking up to you until we meet again,” calling Tucker “the kindest person I’ve ever met and the greatest brother that anyone could have ever asked for.”
The post concluded with a request for privacy for Tucker Genal’s family “as we mourn and begin to navigate life without him,” and a message of gratitude: “We are deeply grateful for the kindness and understanding shown to our family.”
A creator who shared everyday life with millions
Before his death, Tucker Genal had built a substantial following across social media. On TikTok, he had amassed around 2.6 million followers by sharing fast-paced challenge videos, lighthearted games, and day-in-the-life clips, often featuring Carson and Connor.
He also maintained an active presence on Instagram, where nearly 350,000 followers saw snapshots from his daily life, travels, and family moments. His content blended humor, sibling rivalry, and high-energy stunts that resonated with a largely young audience, many of whom felt like they were “in on” the brothers’ running jokes.
In his final TikTok post, shared last week, Genal posted a photo from every month of 2025 with the caption: “Wish I could relive some of these moments twice.” Fans have since flooded that video with comments, many saying they now read the caption very differently and regret not realizing he might have been struggling.

Fans and fellow creators share tributes
News of Tucker Genal’s death prompted an outpouring of grief from fans and creators who had worked with him or followed his rise online.
Influencer and boxer Bryce Hall commented on Genal’s final TikTok, writing, “One of the nicest dudes I’ve met in LA, Rest easy brother.” Other creators shared stories about how kind, grounded, and generous Genal was off-camera, describing him as someone who supported friends quietly and showed up when it mattered.
Many fans expressed shock and sadness, admitting they had assumed his life was “perfect” based on social media alone. Some used the comment sections on his accounts to open up about their own mental health struggles, underscoring how easily pain can be hidden behind curated posts and upbeat videos.
As tributes continue to spread, his brothers’ message has become a focal point for grieving followers — a reminder of the person behind the content, seen most clearly in the eyes of the family who knew him longest.
